Info
Hi. I got my license in March 2008 as KC2SYK, going straight to a General. In June 2018, I upgraded to Extra. In December 2018 I received the W2TI callsign. In February 2019 I received the K2CR callsign.
I made some VHF/UHF FM contacts before getting a HF station online at the end of 2010. My 2019 station is pictured to the right, including a Kenwood TS-430S, Kenwood TS-690S, Kenwood AT-250 tuner, Kenwood SM-220 station monitor, IC-820 VHF/UHF all-mode, and Kenwood TR-751A 2m all-mode.
QSL info
I prefer cards, and will make periodic uploads to LoTW. I am good in the bureau. I will return QSL cards 100%, no SASE needed. SWL QSLs welcomed.
My QSL card shows the Ramsey, New Jersey train station in the 1950s, featuring the Erie 952 locomotive, an ALCO RS-2 diesel. The flags of the United States and of New Jersey are displayed on the right. The map of New Jersey counties has a red dot highlighting Ramsey.
Club
I am trustee for NV2D, the West Bergen WPX Contest Club.Operating QTH

From the 1953 announcement of his second marriage:OOTC #299 Zucker, Richard D. SK, ex-K2CR. Handle "Dick". Born April 10, 1897. First two-way wireless contact 1908. Present occup: Consultant Food and Drug Industries. Started in 1909 when Verimilya was running telegraph wires all over Mt. Vernon. "VN" was great inspiration to him with his 5 kw spark into a 300 ft. flattop, as was Dr. Goldhorn who made his own audions. Later when "VN" was wireless operator on old S.S. Northland, Dick used to work him and tell his folks when "VN" would be home. When "VN" needed lead in hole (through glass conservatory shack) he used Colt 45. When Dick asked where bullet went, "VN" laughed and said, "New Rochelle" (6 miles away).
The bridegroom, an executive with Hoffman-LaRoche, is prominent in amateur radio activities and is a member of the Northern New Jersey Radio Association, the American Radio Relay Leage, and the Quarter Century Wireless Club.
His son was also a ham, Richard S. Zucker (SK February 2004): ex-W2QKT, ex-WA6JBO, ex-W1EFK, ex-W3HOO, ex-KB3YM, ex-K3ZU. The younger Zucker, a member of the Signal Corps and stationed in Hawaii, relayed a teletype message from Washington to General MacArthur signifying the end of World War II.
