I operate mostly HF and enjoy DXing,CW, SSBand a litlle AM. I am not into contesting, to me a good long QSO is the best reward. I am a member of the ARRL. My Main rig is a Yaesu FT-950, Other rigs in the shack consist of an ICOM 745,(my first new rig purchased in 1987), A Yaesu FT-101EE and the Drake B=Lines. I use an Icom 228H 2 meter rig for repeter use and a Yaesu FT-60 HT. My HF antenna is a modified home made G5RV I work 80 - 10 meters and a Home made 2 meter ground plaine verticle antenna. I love sending and collecting QSL cards and only do it direct. Outside of HAM RADIO, I enjoy model slot car collecting and racing, All types of motorsport but favor Vintage Sports Car racing. I am a member of the Porsche Club of America and have a Street/Track 1980 Porsche 911, I also race a vintage Racing Kart in the Eastern Vintage Karting Association.
