My name is Dean. My hobbies include Fishing, Hunting, Traveling, Scuba diving, Amateur radio and Camping. I am a certified NOAA Advanced storm spotter. I went to a Police Academy but did not continue when finished due to the stress Police deal with these days. It was a dream for me to be a Police Officer but the training effects a person in a lot of ways and you have no idea how bad a police officer has it until you go through what they have to do yourself. I commend them for what they have to deal with. I stand behind them all the way and will help them anyway i can.

I've talked to the International Space station 3 times and the Russian space station MIR before they deorbited the station quite awhile back. I also had the opportunity to be the radio operator on the BattleShip Missourri (KH6BB) in Pearl Harbor Hawaii quite awhile back, and work a good friend (KF9AO) that is now a silent key back home where i lived in Illinois. I also recently lost a friend i enjoyed talking to alot (KY3O) which is now a silent key. I hope to hear you on the satellites. I also hope to talk with you on DMR, C4FM, or FreeDV HF digital voice soon. I do not send out QSL cards by mail. If you send one to me, i appreciate it, but i do not have QSL cards to send back. I do however participate in QRZ logbook, ClubLog & LOTW. Everyone have fun with the hobby and stay safe doing it.
