Hello OMs

My name is Agee I was born in eastern Poland in 1977. My first contact with our hobby was in 1994, but I've been a licensed amateur operator since 2009 as SQ5RDE. When I have moved to NE England, I was assigned a new callsign (M0IGA) in January 2016.

I have a hearing disability, and a voice contacts are difficult for me, so most often my QSOs are with a DIGI MODES, but I do not give up, wear headphones and try to SSB QSO from time to time.
Please be patient when we have a voice contact.

LoRa project

The LoRa project came back. Now with my friends from SP and D, I develop and implement LoRa-APRS network based on cheap TTGO32 modules with KISS protocol. Now in my base location works testing LoRa digi and igate (MB7ULR) powered by Raspberry pi 4, APRX soft. digipeater and TTGO Lora32 v2.1 board.

Why a new implementation of APRS?

Low power up to 100mW LoRa devices have some special powers and their range could crush your expectations.

1. Low power = low EM pollution

2. Low power devices can be powered by small solar panels and are independent of traditional power lines.

3. Ideal in emergencies because LoRa digipeater could be almost pocket-size.

Current QTH

Currently, I live in a coastal village, Ryhope, a part of the Metropolitan Borough City of Sunderland loc: IO94hu.
Ryhope is a village with a medieval history with beginning circa 900AD and was owned by Bishops of Durham and been popular Bishops' sea bath place.
As a many places in NE England, Ryhope had a coal colliery (1857-1966) which creates plenty of jobs. The earned money, workers could spend in several local pubs.

The older pub is Railway Inn which works continuously since late 18th century in an original building, now classified as a Grade II listed.
