I have launched a new group in Redditch because I have an interest in all types of Operating from home and portable, rag chewing on fm localy to contesting (see us in the RSGB UKAC\FM tables it will be fab to see Redditch mixing it with the big guns) and all types of data modes and now learning to use the digital networks also construction of antennas and home brew electronics if we get time lol.

Its been a long time since there was a radio club or group in Redditch so if anyone has any infomation on past Redditch clubs please get in touch email below as i would be interested to learn some history of past Redditch clubs.

There are still a few things to do; the new group website will be launched later this year with a members only section containg events and activity ideas and a regular monthly email with group infomation.

The group does not have a regular meeting place at the moment im still trying to find a suitable venue so all group infomation and activity will be via the new website when launched so currently just by email.

Membership currently will be free you to join just need to have lots of enthusiasm to get on the air regulaly and support the group and each others activities when you can. There is currently around 10 members locally with similar interests but anyone can join.

Some of the members are on every night on 145.450 FM from approx 9pm onwards and on Mon&Wed at 8pm for data- psk and rtty on 144.610 USB drop by and give us a call and have a chat. Drop me a mail if you want to try any other frequencies/modes, we are QRV on HF,6,4,2&70cms all modes. Listen out for our club call sign M0RGP on the air, We are a friendly active bunch and we talk about anything!
