Hello, Dennis Nichols here. 57 year old, Happily married to my xyl (Stephanie) and 2 wonderful children (Garrett ; 10 going 20 and Riley;6 years old) (pictures to follow later). Been a ham since 1995. Enjoy the hobby and yes it's a hobby. I'm really not a contest or. Family comes first then my Fire Fighting Family.  Been a Volunteer Fire Fighter for over 25 years . Got interested in ham radio while in the service (United States Navy, Boatswain Mate, 1987 to 1990) first active duty then reserves.  Here is one of the fire stations I belong to. http://buckhornfirecompany.com/ . Here is another Fire Station I belong to. http://.www.bloomsburgfd.org/. Currently employed by Pennsylvania DCNR as a semi skilled Laborer at Worlds End State Park. Been there 4 years so far and love the job. I'm also a Pennsylvania Hunter Education Instructor as well. 

When I got my license first I got involved in 2m, 440 and 6m. Then came packet and APRS, I'm also have a GRMS license (wqjl698). Now I'm into 10m ssb, digital and 2m and some 440 and 6.  I operate two rigs. An Icom 718 (in shack) and a Icom 7000 . My antenna is a  Hy-Gain AV-640 Vertical 35 feet in air. Mobile Radio is a Radio Shack 10 . Im currently enjoying the digital modes on 6 and 10. But prefer to talking when the the bands are there. Current hae two Allstar nodes up nd running. 537750 which is 220. And the other is 537752 which is 900 mhz. A 440 one will be soon be on the air.
