Licensed in 2015 after being hooked by the high- pace operation of Field Day, I passed Tech and General in one shot, and was on the air within an hour of the test- activating an Dyer Island in Narragansett Bay. Initially assigned the sequential call KC1EFE, I applied for and received my grandfather's call, K1GEA. I am an active member of the Newport County Radio Club, W1SYE, as well as an avid sailor and a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
