My shack includes 2 Yeasu FTDX 3000D radios, these radios are fantastic and you can find them for great prices on the used market.

Timewave Navigator sound card modem, dont need this with the FTDX3000D but it allows me to use Fldigi with FSK RTTY and has K1EL CW keyer built in, again dont need it with the FTDX3000D but I already had it so why not......

I recently picked up a Yeasu FT-1000PM MARK-V Field

I got it loaded with every filter possible as well as every Inrad modification and every accessory available for the radio, the receiver is 2nd to none.

Tuner is a Palstar AT2K.

Amp is a QRO HF 2000 the only part of my shack that runs on the grid, everything else in on solar and batteries, including computer and monitors.

I have 3 TYT 9600 radios, one in the shack and the other 2 are in vehicles I own, all of them have the OpenGD 77 firmware on them, I also have a TYT 380 U/V with OpenGD 77 on it, great firmware for these radios make them outstanding DMR radios.

I also have 2 Radiodity DB 50 VHF/UHF full duplex radios, one in the shack and one in one of my vehicles.

I have two antennas the first is a Zerofive 57 foot ground mounted vertical with 120 - 50 foot ground radials, The antenna is a monster 4 inches in diameter at the base and 3/4 of an inch at the top. I use it on 20M,40M,80M and 160M it's best on 40 and 80 and is good on 20 as well, I will eventually get something better for 160M, I also use a Loop On The Ground antenna to listen on, this is why I will never own a radio without an RX antenna port. The RX antenna has 90 feet of wire in a loop that is layed out on the ground with yard staples, the wire is no longer visible, I have a 9:1 blaun mounted in a box to protect it from the weather and the criters, I have RG6 coax going to it.

The second antenna is a Zerofive 27 foot ground plane antenna mounted at 12 feet, works great on 20M-10M, I will replace this soon with a 10ele Optibeam.

In the wind...In the wind....

Loop on the ground RX antenna, this is all you can see... I placed the 9:1 blaun in the box to protect it from weather and criters, then ran the 90 foot wire in a loop and secured the wire with yard staples, after about 2 years the antenna is no longer visible.

My station is run 100% on solar and batteries, I have 6-100 watt solar panels and 4 - 12 volt 100 AH LiFePO4 batteries which gives me more than enought power and storage to run the shack and a refridgerator and freezer for days without sun which never happens here. Only thing on grid power is the amplifier.

I used a cheap 200 watt inverter for the PC and monitors, this eliminated all noise I was getting on my radios from the more exspensive 2000 watt sine wave inverter.

My 1993 Mustang GT that I built from the ground up, everything is new, I even installed a new wiring harness front to back.

Engine 347 stroker 450 HP

Tremec TKO 600 5 speed manual transmission

4:10 Detroit Truetrac posi rear end.

Project  2000 Mazda Miata, this car is fun to drive, will post pictures as the project moves along, my daughter is helping with this one, she actually drives it most of the time.

I sanded it down and painted it after doing all maintenence and repairs.

I was not looking for another project but along comes a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police car with only 55k on it, after turning it down the owner made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so now its mine, I decided to restore this to original Police condition and install Ham radios in the consol, I put in a TYT 9600 DMR radio, a Radiodity DB 50 VHF/UHF rig and a Uniden SD 200 I have a switch that puts the audio from the scanner outside the car, lots of fun and the local cruise in, I have 2 hotspots in the trunk one on Brandmeister the other on TGIF, ther is also a 20 AH LiFePO4 battery so I can disconnect the radios from the main battery so the car wont drain the main battery after prolong use such as at a car show or cruise in.

This car is still a work in progress and will get new seat skins installed as well as a freash paint job.

My 1999 Ford Ranger 4X4, I almost got rid of this truck paint was pealing the bumpers were rusted out but it only had 140k on it and I have owned it since 2005 and at the price of new trucks I decided lets improve it, so I sanded it down and did a 2 tone rapter liner on it, this is basically bed liner,I simply sprayed the entire truck with it, had some left over paintfrom my Mustang so I dyed the rater liner and sprayed the top half red and the lower part black, it looked so good I got new tires and wheels as well as some new off raod bumpers, even installed new carpet.
