Most people call me Terry. I was licensed in 2011 but was fairly inactive until late 2016. I am a casual operator and enjoy adding new DX entities to the log as well as new states & provinces. I am a fan of wire antennas and enjoy trying to figure out how to deploy them at our QTH.
Current station consists of an Icom 736 Transceiver feeding two wire antennas.
The first antenna is a horizontal loop about 260' in length. The shape is trapezoidal sloping from a height of 16' for the 40' south leg to about 30' height for the 70' north leg. This antenna is fed via a Dentron Super Tuner using 300 ohm window line.
The second antenna is a 20m horizontally polarized vertical quad centered at 33' above ground. This antenna is rotatable using the "arm strong" method and is fed using 450 ohm window line.
