QSLing
I don't yet have any QSL cards printed up, but once I do, I'll be eager to begin exchanging them. I also use LoTW, but I will always enjoy the unique personal touches inherent with traditional QSLing.
Activities
Most of my operating is done from the shack of the Georgia Tech Amateur Radio Club, where I use the club's call sign, W4AQL. As vice president, I'm also the QSL manager for the club.
On the air, I enjoy contesting (usually as part of a larger group) and occasional casual contacts, as well as digital operation. I also just enjoy tinkering and experimenting with radio equipment, which I have had ample opportunity to do at Georgia Tech. Helping to maintain a station with towers as old as my parents can be challenging at times, but it has been very rewarding. Outside of amateur radio, I'm also a musician (saxophone, piano, and voice), an advocate for free/open-source software, and an avid electronics tinkerer with a particular affinity for older computers.
My Station
For my home HF station, I have a recently-repaired Kenwood TS-930, which will be connected to a G5RV in the trees as soon as I can get it back up. I also have a Yaesu FT-100 that sees occasional use. For logging, I'm either using the last version of LOG-EQF on a 486 desktop, or N1MM Logger+ on my more modern laptop, depending on the circumstance.
