Call me Rich as in "I wish I was...".  I've been a ham for about 22 years, still have my original call sign.  I upgraded to General in the Fall of 2016 and got my Extra ticket in May 2018.   Changed my call sign to NR1CH a lear after that.

I don't have much in the way of equipment, I have a number of VHF/UHF radios, a Yeasu FT-991A for my base rig, and a Yeasu FT-857D which I just picked up for use when hiking.  I run barefoot at 100 watts.  My antennas have been dipoles (affordable for me).  I started with a single dipole and then built a fan dipole using the SRI method in December 2017.  With that I can work 6 bands.  It needs more tuning and I plan on doing that soon.

I most enjoy talking with people that I find calling CQ.
