Experimenting is a ton of fun and the theory and math helps refresh my education as a BSEE that I don't get to use with my day job which is in cyber security.

I love backpacking and hiking, so naturally SOTA is something I love to do.

Rigs include Icom IC-7300, IC7100, Kenwood TS-450S, Xiegu X108G. Antenna's vary from time to time and have most recently included a non resonant dipole cut longer than 80m fed with 300 ohm twin-lead to a remote tuner, then coax to the shack.

Backpacking antenna's include 10/20/40m dipoles, 20/40m verticles, and a 40m EndFedHalfWave.
