Well...Les see...I was brought into this world back in the day on 08/25/1951 in Ardmore, OK. Both my Dad and my Godfather were Amateur Radio Operators. My Dad's (SK) call was W5TFP, was an Advanced Class and I never knew what my Godfather's call was...I just knew that he was a Ham (either an Advanced or Extra Class). When I was around 4 years old or so, the "Radio Bug" Bit me and I was HOOKED !  I remember, I used to sit on my Fathers lap whenever he "Ragchewed" or participated in the various Nets that he was involved in and thoroughly ENJOYED it. As I grew up through the years, I never lost my interest in Amateur Radio. I remember that my Dad had a Vibroplex Bug telegraph key and a couple of J-34 straight keys that he used when he operated CW. After I graduated High School, I developed an interest in the Security field, so I applied for positions as a Dispatcher or Patrol that would let me further my interest in Radio Communication and gain experience for when I would take my FCC Exam. I went to Novice "School", but come exam time (May 1998), I bypassed the Novice exam and went straight for the Technician exam. I was issued the call N5LYS and have it to this day. I am studying to take my General exam at this present time in hopes of achieving that license Class before my good Lord and Savior calls me to join him in Heaven.
