Graduated from Atlantic Highlands High School in Atlantic Highlands, N.J. in 1960. Joined the Air Force that same year. I spent 8 years on active duty, 3 years as a Morse Intercept Operator, stationed at Peshawar Air Station in Peshawar, Pakistan. The remaining 5 years in the states were spent as an Administrative Speciaist. While stationed at Kincheloe AFB, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I got my ham ticket in 1964 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan.
If you look at my recent activity, you will see several alleged contacts on CW. Be advised that I have not been on HF radio in more than 20 years and anyone who says they spoke to me is a liar. The strangest thing is that they are CW contacts and if your as good as they must, why aren't they hams themselves?
At this time, November 2018, I am active on DSTAR, DMR, IRN, 2 Meters, 70 Centimeters and Zello. My Zello ID is: "clayw1pi" and "NR723". I have two accounts. I am also using the Inrico T320, a cell phone that looks like a small HT and actually works thru my wifi, allowing world wide instant communication.
