My perminant leagal address and hence my FCC & QRZ address is Green Cove Springs Florida which is the offices of SBI Mailing Services. My actual location at any particulare time varies as I travel the US, Canada & Bahamas waterways.

I got my first license in 1957 WN5EIM. But was never able to progress to the 13wpm required for the General Class license and dropped out of Ham Radio. That all changed in 2003 when the code requirment was dropped to 5wpm and I passed the General Class Exam.

From 2003 thru 2009 I operated maritime moble living aboard my sailboat named "Quietly" in the Eastern Caribbean Islands retuning to the USA in 2010.  July 2014 I purtchased a DeFever 41 Trawler "Easy Living" as my new home on the water.

2009-2010 Maritime mobile cruising along the US East then in the Old Washington Chanel, Washington DC as my home base 2010 to 2019.

Summer 2019 I departed on a 6,500+ mile trip through New York to cruise the Trent-Sevren Waterway and Georgian Bay in Southern Canada and make The Great Loop down the inland rivers and waterways through Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama to the Gulf Coast at Mobile, and then on to  Florida and The Bahamas returning to Washington DC in the fall of 2020, 16 months after leaving.

Fall 2020 to current time my home base is the Capital Yacht Club in the Old Washington Chanel in Washington DC.

Over the years from 2002 I have sailed and boated over 38,000 miles in 17 countries.
