Thanks for viewing my Ham QTH profile.
I have been licensed since 1994, although I was off the air from 09/2011 to 01/2017, but I am now active again!
I mainly operate in the digital modes i.e. RTTY, PSK, JT65, JT9 & FT8 etc. I also enjoy working the odd RTTY contest.
My current HF rig is a Yaesu FT450D, with either a half size G5RV antenna (main bands) or a 7.6m long wire with 9:1 UNUN, (WARC bands) or a Moonraker SPX200S vertical (80m only). All three antennas are tuned by the FT450D's internal auto ATU, via an MFJ-914 auto ATU extender and all the antennas are located inside my loft space. Digimode interface is a simple homebrew unit, using a Yaesu CT-39A interface cable & pair of isolating transfomers, to a USB sound card, with the rigs built in Digital VOX used to activate transmit mode
I also use a Baofeng 2m handheld TX for local contacts, on 2m FM.
I hold ARRL DXCC diploma's for Digital modes, Mixed modes & CW mode and have now worked about 23,617 QSO's in total, with 10,891 QSO's confirmed via LOTW.
My WAB Square: TQ01, IOTA: EU-005 & CQ ZONE: 14
Please QSL via LOTW. I also upload all my QSO's to ClubLog, but no longer send QSL cards via the bureau..
I look forward to seeing you on my screen.
