GB0EOR
EnglandGB0EOR is the Special Event Station for the Railways on the Air event, which this year is held over the weekend of September 21st/22nd. It is being operated by members of the Harlow and District Amateur Radio Society from North Weald Station.
2015 marked the 150th Anniversary of the Railway, which is the longest heritage railway in Essex, and also the closest to London, being only a couple of miles from the edge of the London Underground Network.
2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the closure of the line by London Underground, on the 30th September 1994. That closure paved the way for the Railway that exists today.
