I got my Tech Plus license in Dec 1990, 2 months before they dropped the code requirement. After being off the air for abt 16 years I passed my General in Dec 2018.

Rig here is an ICOM IC-7300 with an AH-4 remote tuner up on my roof with a 100ft long wire suspended out to a tree on my lot.
