Radio Club OK1KLV will activate the special call sign OL90ITALIA from May 25, 2018 to June 8, 2018 that will honor the memory of the adventurous and tragic Polar expedition of the Airship ITALIA that in 1928 crashed near the North Pole. More details: https://www.italia-90.cz/

In particular, the "men lost for ever" will be remembered of the tragic Expedition of Umberto Nobile and the survivors saved thanking to the listening of the tenacious Engineer Nikolaj Reingoldovich Schmidt from Arkhangel in Russia who listened to the signals of rescue request of the Red Tent. We will make international radio contacts on various modes in HF from March 20, 2018 to October 20, 2018 retracing the steps of the support ship Citta di Milano and the main events up to make contacts with R1LK (icebreaker Krasin in S.Petersburg), Norway, Czechia, Naval Museums of Imperia and La Spezia, Rome S.Paolo RT Regia Marina, Museum of Umberto Nobile in Lauro,Vohkma and other important sites.

The Diploma "90th Anniversary Nobile expedition on North Pole - Airship ITALIA" is open to all Italian and foreign YL/OM and SWL. To achieve this, contact/listen special stations recalling the North Umbrian expedition of General Umberto Nobile with the "ITALIA" Airship, according to following rules:

• Bronze Class, TWO special stations must be contacted;

• Silver Class, a QSO with FOUR special stations is needed;

• Gold Class, applicants must have a QSO with SIX special stations;

For the PLAQUE, a total of EIGHT special stations must be shown.

Contacts/SWL reports must in full compliance with the Band Plan IARU - Region 1, in any operating mode (CW, SSB, DIGITAL).

Each contact/SWL report with the memorial stations; in particular:

• contacts/SWL reports with the station II0IDO (Radio - Telegraphic Station Rome San Paolo "IDO") from 20 March to 20 October 2018. Radio-telegraph station of the Regia Marina that kept radio contacts with the Nave Citta di Milano and the expedition to the North Pole.

• contacts/SWL reports with the station II1IGJ (Telegraphic support vessel "Citta di Milano” - IGJ) from 20 March to 20 October 2018 reminding the scientific support vessel with which radio contacts were held between the Italian Airship and the radio station telegraph Rome San Paolo IDO.

• contacts/SWL reports with the commemorative station II1AIT (Airship Italia) from 20 March to 20 October 2018, reminding the Italian Airship under the command of General Umberto Nobile.

• the contacts/SWL reports with the station reminding R1LK (Icebreaker Krasin), the Russian icebreaker that rescued the crew of the Airship Italia.

• contacts/SWL reports with the station II1ITR reminding the Red Tent from 25 May to 25 June 2018.

• contacts/SWL reports with the IB2RT training station from 20 March to 20 October 2018;

• contacts/SWL reports with the RJ1O - station of Archangel Telecomunications College from 20 March to 20 October 2018.

• contacts/SWL reports of Cluib Station OK1KLV - Radio club Praha operating from the birth place of František Běhounek, a physicist - from 20 March to 20 October 2018.

Diplom "90th Anniversary Nobile expedition on North Pole – Airship ITALY" je vydáván všem YL/OM a SWL za spojení (poslechy) zvláštních stanic, pracujících u příležitosti tohoto výročí v období od 20. března 2018 (00.00 UTC) do 20. října 2018 (24.00 UTC). Platí spojení a poslechy, které jsou v plném souladu s bandplánem IARU – region 1 jakýmkoli druhem provozu (CW, SSB, DIGITAL) s těmito stanicemi:

K získání diplomu příslušné třídy musí být je třeba navázat spojení (odposlouchat) nejméně:

• bronzová třída se dvěma speciálními stanicemi;
• stříbrná třída se čtyřmi speciálními stanicemi;
• zlatá třída s šesti speciálními stanicemi;

Pro získání plakety je třeba navázat spojení (odposlouchat) nejméně s osmi speciálními stanicemi. Platí spojení bez ohledu na druh provozu.

Potvrzení spojení prostřednictvím QSL a/nebo eQSL (eQSL.cc) – žádost musí být zaslána manažerovi diplomu s výpisem z deníku výhradně e-mailem, jako předmět je nutno uvést: AWARD 90 ^ DIRECTIBLE SHIPPING ITALIA;

Diplom bude zaslán bezplatně pouze v elektronické podobě (JPG);

Pro zaslání plakety se předpokládá paušální částka 35 eur (včetně nákladů na dopravu).
