Back when I was a boy scout I got the idea I might enjoy amature radio. After I left school I worked in the telecommunications industry for many years with folks like Dictaphone, Motorola and Mitel. I served almost 30 years as a Canadian Forces reservist (Army and Air force), and still help out as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of 879 Wing of the Royal Canadian Airforce Association. Currently am working on a old passion, I  manage a winery, because a love wine and people. Although I have held a licence for awhile, I have just been working the local repeaters with an Icom 2820 - mobile. The current "shelter in place" situation is giving me a chance to get started on setting up my shack with the help of my son Rick (VA7RBO). I enjoy, wine, Barbershop singing, boating, model railroading and Ham Radio.
