Hi My Name is Ray Callsign VK4KU. My previous Callsigns are VK4YRS and VK4HIM. I Have been an licensed amateur since 2002. A member of the Sunshine Coast Amateur Radio Club in Queensland Australia. The Club runs repeaters on 6M 2M plus 70Cm and 23Cm.
I am currently enjoying DMR Marc Australia repeater network and DMR Brandmeister using Radioddity GD77 and Retevis RT3S via a PiStar hotspot. I also use Echolink and Peanut at my QTH and when I am on a cruise ship at sea. Recently purchased a Yaesu FT2D and an Icom ID51 Plus 2 and connect to YSF/Dstar via their own hotspot. No repeaters close by for the hand held radios. Most times monitor Brand.eister BM91.WIRESX US Kansas City Wide and Dstar 001C or 030C.
Recently I have used the ID51 Plus 2 in Terminal Mode using PA7LIM software "Doozy" connecting to a Windows 10 a d 11 laptop with the Icom cables. Also connected the FT2D and FT5D in PDN mode to Wires-X also to the laptop. They all work very well.
Recent purchase was a NW Digital dongle using PA7LIM App BlueDV to access DMR plus Dstar and YSY. these both work very well also.
Aa well I use Dude Star, Vox DMR, Z3 DMR and QSO 1 on Windows 10 and 11 and all on my phone and laptop to access DMR B/M, Allstar and YSF etc.
When I am travelling ( on a Cruise ship etc ) I use Echolink + Droidstar also Allstar and Peanut on my Android phone or tablet.
A recent purchase was an Allstar node and I am very pleased with that.
I am biased but ham radio is the best hobby in the world.
