VO1KDX

Hello and welcome to the Kraken DX Amateur Radio Club!

Who we are:

The Kraken DX Amateur Radio Group was founded in March of 2023, as a contesting group between 2 of its founders, Mike VO1OP, Joseph, VO1BYD/ZU. VO1KDX was purchased to have a singular call sign for Amateur Radio contesting awards so that no particular member would receive all the glory. VO1KDX was also used for events such as Field Day, lighthouse activation, and any other events where radio came along.

The Kraken DX Amateur Radio Club continues to promote the interest and fellowship of HAM Radio, going back to the roots of Amateur Radio, actually participating instead of just talking about doing.

Our membership consists of local hams. We meet once a month on our Discord channel, which allows all our members to participate, regardless of where they are in the world.

What we do:

We are primarily a contesting club that likes to get back to the basics of HAM radio. Contesting, antenna projects and BBQ's make up most of our meetings.

We hope to hear you on the air. 73's de VO1KDX
