You might have heard me as NK2F, FS/F5IYJ, CT7/F5IYJ, ON/F5IYJ, LA/F5IYJ, OZ/F5IYJ, OH/F5IYJ, SM/F5IYJ, PA/F5IYJ, PJ7/ F5IYJ, DL/F5IYJ, M/F5IYJ, EA3/F5IYJ, EA5/F5IYJ, EA7/F5IYJ, A65/NK2F, FM/F5IYJ, IT9/F5IYJ, HB9/F5IYJ, HB0/F5IYJ, UA3/F5IYJ, KP4/NK2F and from other countries as guest operator.
Note 1: sorry I do not own microphones and dislike contacts between computers.
Note 2: I'd prefer a radiogram (via National Traffic System - Relay Radio International C/O DL4FN) rather than an E-mail, thank you.
I enjoy DX traffic, portable and backpacked operations and contest. I am only a telegrapher, sorry.
I like Elecraft products and built two K1, a KX1, two K2, a K3 and a KX3. I love the 2 last ones and use them in the shack (K3) and when I am traveling (KX3) for business or leisure.
But I like also boatanchors. I just finished an AMECO AC-1 replica, a transmitter available as a kit in the 1950 era:
QSL:
Quickest method: OQRS
no cost for Bureau QSL's, US$2.00 if you need my QSL direct, worldwide.
All QSO uploaded on LOTW on a recurring basis. I am not an eQSL user, sorry.
Sending me a QSL via the bureau will take one year or more to arrive, then it will take the same time for my QSL to go back. In the meantime, you might think the QSL is lost so you will sent a second, even a third one. These duplicate QSL will need to be sorted and shipped by your/my national QSL bureau. It will cost additional money and the additional CO2/fossil energy footprint.
So if you really want to sent your paper QSL, do it. I am not strongly looking for paper QSL but appreciate receiving some nice ones. Please just note I won't answer to your QSL card(1) so you'll need to submit an online request to get mine.
Again, if you want my paper QSL, please use the OQRS form above (for bureau or direct)(1) with or without sending any paper QSL. It will be faster, cheaper and better for our Earth... and easier for me! Thank you.
Special note for the SWL: I will answer to all QSL requests only if you report accurate callsigns and reports exchanged + my report from your station.
Do not request my QSL for a phone QSO: I do not own any microphone so you might have misunderstood the callsign.
(1) From January 1st, 2016, I stop answering to QSL requests sent by the bureau (by writing 'PSE QSL' on your card) because it is too slow and costs too much money to QSL bureaus. The only options you have are: 1/ use the OQRS above, 2/ drop a message to my email address or 3/ request a QSL card during our QSO. (by exception, requests on SWL QSL cards will be answered)
