My Start
- June 12, 2021. I'm a newly minted ham and I have lots of questions.
My Philosophy
- I'm most interested in leveraging simple yet elegant, just-enough and (if possible) make-versus-buy-approaches.
- I want to fail fast, learn lots and try as much as I possibly can...
My Focus
- I'm a field radio operator focused on Grid-down/Off-Grid-Comms, Survival-Comms, Portable-Ops, QRP-Ops & Leveraging SDR approaches.
- I predominantly operate SSB but incorpotare Winlink, JS8CALL and WSPR tactically
- I am very active on HF SSB, 40m/20m/17m. I enjoy working QRPP, POTA, with my XIEGU G90 @ 10watts, or my FT-818 @ 2.5 to 6 watts.
- Sometimes my other operating rig includes the Yaesu FT-819, usually portable, and operating predominantly @ 45watts. I'm also active on 2m and 70cm analogue.
