Tomas Roeder has been into radios communications since he was 8 years old. Starting off with Citizen Band Lafayette Hand Held Chrystal controlled radios. This kick started his passion..... His interest in Electronics and everything mechanical started at a young age :-) Today Tomas is a Pre Sales Engineer having worked for many Hi Tech Companies and has a passion for building Custom Motorcycles and Hotrods including restoration of Older BMW Motorcycles. When Im not wrenching I'm on Amateur
Radio!
Currently a CanWarn Severe Weather Spotter and an active participant within his local amateur radio clubs and weekly NETS!
Catch me spending most of my time on FM/DMR/Dstar but I like to make contacts on HF 20/40 Meters! I also run the Midnight DMR Radio Net and am a member of the Hamilton Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) activity sponsored by Radio Amateurs of Canada Inc. I run WSPR when my FT817/897 is not in use. Great way to check if bands are open! DX-EE 40/20/15/10 is what I run!
Current Radios: Yaesu FT897D, FT817ND, Tytera MD380 DMR, FDC-150A, Baofeng UV-5R, Zaztone MP-300 and a ICOM ID-51A DStar, ICOM F4161S, ICOM 5100, Motorola XPR4550 and XPR6550 And a New Inrico T298S staying connected to the Guild! But I like to mix it up a bit!
